The other day I discussed the importance of making a real commitment to your weight loss goal. This has to be the initial mindset as an honest heart felt promise and real decision on your part to accomplish your goal despite the challenges ahead.
To make this goal easier with so much to change, break up your goal into more manageable parts. By breaking your one big goal into smaller parts you will more likely be successful. And this keeps you motivated to keep accomplishing more.
Each new step also enhances the value of the previous step. This is why it is so vital to keep persevering with each new change. Every success with weight loss (or any other goal) is built on all the other steps it took to get to the finish line.
Long term success is determined by the sum total of these smaller steps repeated daily until they become ingrained solid habits. Ultimately these behaviors become true healthy habits resulting in weight loss and long term maintenance.
